Step 1: Join the Members in Training Every August, the JLMC holds a mixer for prospective members, where they may learn general information about the organization and meet some of the current members. Prospective members are invited to join the Members in Training (MIT) class, which meets monthly from August - May. Click here for more information on the MIT program, or contact Jami Duckson at jld@palmcitylaw.com. Each prospective member has an advisor to guide them through the process, and answer questions regarding the JLMC. If you have a friend that is a member of the JLMC you may ask them to be your advisor. If you do not know anyone in the JLMC, we will provide you with an advisor. Step 2: Attend a JLMC General Meeting In addition to attending MIT classes, prospective members will be asked to attend a JLMC General Meeting. At the General Meetings, League business is conducted and guest speakers are invited to present topics of interest to the membership. General Meetings are held monthly from September through May. Step 3: Financial requirements Your payment of $110 for annual dues, is payable to the JLMC in the spring and is non-refundable. All members are also required to purchase one ticket to the annual Pineapple Ball. |
