Women who have reached the age of 21 (there is no upper age limit) are invited to join the Members in Training (MIT) class in August. This volunteer training course meets monthly until May and focuses on the history of the Association of Junior League International, training in the leadership, fundraising and volunteer opportunities, as assessment of the Martin County community needs, as well as financial obligations of dues and participation in fund raising projects. Upon successful completion of the New Member course, women will be voted to Active Membership. Click here to read about the library that the 2006-2007 MIT class developed at Gertrude Walden Child Care Center. If you would like more information about becoming a new member of the Junior League of Martin County please contact Jami Duckson at jld@palmcitylaw.com. |
